Went over to Grove Ferry yesterday afternoon hoping to see Hen Harriers and Owls. Saw none but did see a Jack Snipe, a rarity for me, from the Feast Hide "bobbing" at the back of the pool. Only a record shot below. Other birds included 5 Marsh Harriers, large numbers of Fieldfares, 2 Common Snipe in flight near the Marsh Hide and several Robins.
