Again a slightly warmer night 5.5c produced 9 Moths of 6 species with Small Quaker new for the year.

Five moths this morning after a slightly less cold night-3.5c. 1 Double-striped Pug, 2 Hebrew Character, 1 Diurnea fagella, 1 Common Plume.

Cold nights are keeping moth numbers very low with 1 Hebrew Character yesterday and 1 Early Grey this morning.

Just one moth after a foggy night-The Engrailed. The earliest one for me by about 4 weeks.

Had the 1st Early Grey of the year this morning plus Clouded Drab, Dotted Border, 4 Hebrew Character and the plume moth Amblyptilia acanthadactyla. Also had the opportunity to photograph an Oak Beauty which was new for me. This one was trapped at Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve last night. A milder night 3c produced 3 Clouded Drabs, 2 Hebrew Characters, 1 Chestnut & a Dotted Border.

A frost this morning with a low of 0.5c on the thermometer. However, 2 Moths in the trap: 1 Hebrew Character and the first Twin-spotted Quaker of the year.

A low of 6.5c last night produced 9 Hebrew Characters, 1 Common Quaker, and the first Clouded Drab & Brindled Pug of the year.

Mainly Hebrew Characters over the last few days with 5 this morning. However, the Double-striped Pug today was the 1st of the year and my earliest by more than 2 weeks.

A mild night but just one Moth: a Chestnut.

Nothing for a week now but had an opportunity to photograph a Pale Pinion trapped by a friend in Fairlight, East Sussex. A new species for me. Hoping for something tonight as it's Garden Moth Survey night.

A mild but rather wet night produced just 1 Hebrew Character & 1 LBAM this morning.

Nothing in the trap this morning. However, a friend trapped a Spring Usher in Fairlight E.Sussex and I was able to see & photograph this species for the first time. Still hoping to get one myself.
