A low of 9c resulted in 10 moths of 7 species this morning. New for the year was the first November Moth of the Autumn. I never seem to get well-marked individuals of this group so put them all down as November Moths agg. Now we've passed the end of September it's again interesting to compare with last year. Micros are doing just as well with 96 species by the end of Sept. this year compared to 95 at the same stage last year. Again it's the Macros that are 13% down with only 149 this year compared to 172 last year. So the November Moth was the 150th Macro of this year.
