13 moths of 11 species this morning. New for the year were: Ephestia parasitella, Small Magpie, Common White Wave, & Buff Ermine. Yesterday a male Stag Beetle took a likeing to a rug on our washing line.

    We used to have a lot of stag beetles about - but sadly haven't seen one for years now

    I haven't seen one here (St Margaret's), the last one I saw was 15 years ago at Foots Cray Meadows.

    We still get them every year here in Boughton, in the garden and in the village street. I've seen 4 in the garden so far this year.
